Our project consisted of installation of new shingles (Owens Corning Duration in terracotta color) on the entire roof of the main house plus a detached shed; replacement of two skylights; and a flat roof replacement (EPDM installation with ISO insulation underneath). Everyone from the sales representative Chris to the team performing the installation and the office staff coordinating the work did their job wonderfully. We are happy with the end result and appreciate all the hard work the crew did. A big ‘Thank you’ to American Custom Contractors for a job well done and for our new roof. We are very happy with the color terracotta—it is exactly how we imagined it to be in real life. Special thanks to representative Chris once again.

American Custom Contractors were fantastic to work with when we needed a new roof—Dre Roland from the sales team was knowledgeable, friendly, and personable, and Alex Giakoumatos, our project manager, was frankly incredible. He answered all our questions during a face-to-face meeting prior to work starting and was extremely communicative during the two days of work, letting me know how many decking sheets the team would need to replace as they counted them, checking in when the 100-degree heat slowed the team down, and working with me to determine whether we wanted to go ahead and replace two damaged skylights along with the roof. I have never had a better experience with a contractor, as the skills needed for such work don’t often seem to come with the same skills for customer service—ACC and Alex specifically are the exception! The work itself is also excellent, and the team spent more than an hour at the end of a very long, hot day cleaning up my yard and sweeping the premises for any fallen nails or debris. I certainly don’t expect to need a new roof again any time soon, but if I have any other projects within ACC’s purview, I will be hiring them again in an instant.

We have always appreciated the charm and beauty of Victorian architecture. When it came time to replace our home’s slate roof, we placed our trust in American Custom Contractors. From start to finish we were well informed and supported. Everyone was professional and conscientious. Special shout-outs to William Giakoumatos, the company’s president, who took the time to check in throughout the process; Amanda, who was always willing to answer questions and address any concerns; and Frank, who provided onsite management. As customers, we felt truly valued. It’s hard to find a company that can replicate the artistry, craftsmanship, and attention to detail of vintage homes. We want to thank all of you at American Custom Contractors for making our lady shine!

American Custom Contractors was amazing from the word “go”! First, William went above and beyond in helping get an insurance claim approved for new siding, and was so thorough and patient with our adjuster. When we got approval for coverage and decided to add new windows, Chris and William really worked with us on the options and got the price to something we felt comfortable with. We got all new Climatech windows and went with Alside Ascend siding (in Sterling Grey) because we liked the wider planks and additional insulation. Chris took lots of care and time explaining the options for us, with zero pressure. Once the contract was signed, they kept us well informed of the timing and double- and triple-checked the scope of work. For the windows, they built 13 custom windows within a couple weeks of order, and they were installed within 2 days—no complaints at all. As soon as work started, you could tell they were professionals and took pride in their work—they kept the site clean each day. The team showed up bright and early each day and worked all day to get the work done quickly. Whenever they had a question about a design decision, they stopped and asked for our input and offered their expert experience. Everything turned out better than we could have expected, and they stuck to the budget. Once the siding was done, they painted our brick to match and put a fresh coat of paint on our garage doors. They were incredibly meticulous. We are so pleased with the results and would not hesitate for a second to recommend American Custom Contractors!!

We had a tremendous customer experience with American Custom Contractors with Fon as our point of contact and Alex overseeing the project. We replaced our roof with Owens Corning Duration shingles and used Alside Ascend siding. Fon was very helpful walking us through the process, outlining the options, and has deep expertise in roofing and siding that we heavily relied on. Fon partnered with us throughout the process, and as a result, we felt very comfortable moving toward install day. The project went very smoothly; the crew arrived early and worked late, cleaned up beautifully after each day, and Alex maintained contact throughout. They were also very flexible on scheduling the job and even prioritized us before we went on vacation, which we deeply appreciated. An impressive company all around that cares, and I could not recommend it more highly.

American Custom Contractors (ACC) did a great job shingling our roof last year. Recently, there was damage to the roof that in no way resulted from their work. I called ACC, and they quickly had the roof inspected, identified the issue, and scheduled a date for the repair. The team lead (Douglas) for both the inspection and the repair was fantastic. Douglas kept me informed throughout the entire process; his team did a thorough repair job, and he was extremely courteous. To top off how smoothly everything went, ACC chose not to bill me for the repair even though they were not at fault for the damage. Both from the initial roof shingling and the recent roof repair, it is clear that American Custom Contractors cares about their current and past customers. I highly recommend this company for their staff, workmanship, and customer service.
